MOMENTUM
Presently, moMENtum is taking a break for the summer and will start back up in September.
MoMENtum is Hillside's men's ministry. We hold once a month gatherings where we share a meal together and have a guest speaker offering scriptural insight on various relevent topics. All males in high school and older are welcome. MoMENtum is a great place to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. In addition to the monthly meetings, there is a bi-monthly Saturday morning Bible study that meets at 7:30am in the coffee room. Sometimes MoMENtum plans various activities and we'd be delighted to have you join us!

Guest speakers share professional insights and timely topics, and there are special events throughout the year. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 10:00 am in the Fireside Room. A light lunch (free) accompanies each gathering. HARP is a great place to meet and catch up with friends while engaging in lively topics.
CARE ministries
PASTORAL CARE
Members of the Church Council are available for pastoral care as needed. Pastoral care is generally for a short-term crisis, emergency or pastoral professional services such as counseling, prayer, and spiritual guidance, bereavement services, and visitations. Our pastoral staff is passionate about caring for you in your challenging times.
In addition to pastoral care, long-term care is available through our Stephen's Ministry program and, for shut-ins in need of visitation, our Deaconate ministry.
DEACON MINISTRY
Our Deacons and Deaconess' provide care and support for our church family through visitation and prayer as well as managing the church's benevolence fund (Deacon Fund). Deacons are a Biblically ordained office and act as the service and caring arm of the church. They assist with communion and offering collection in addition to their caring role. You will often see them working hard to care for the congregation on Sunday morning. If you have any questions or needs, please e-mail them at deacons@hillsidelbc.org.
ELDER BOARD
The role of the Elder Board is primarily teaching, prayer, and spiritual oversight with a heart to shepherd the people of Hillside. You will often find our elders involved in caregiving ministries together with our deacons, and making themselves available to pray, encourage, and meet with our church family. You can reach them at elders@hillsidelbc.org.
FOOD PANTRY
Our Food Pantry exists to provide practical support to individuals and families in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. Through the generosity of our church family and community, we are able to offer nonperishable food items to those in need throughout the year.
We gratefully accept donations of unopened, nonperishable food items to help keep our pantry stocked and ready to serve our neighbors.
If you have any questions about donating or our Food Pantry ministry, please contact us at staff@hillsidelbc.org.
OUTREACH
Our Outreach ministry is committed to serving our community by partnering with local organizations and nonprofits throughout the year. Each month, we highlight a different ministry or community partner and look for practical ways to support the incredible work they are doing through service, donations, and prayer. Be sure to check out our weekly newsletter to learn more about this month's outreach partnership and discover how you can get involved.
Market Street Mission

Through emergency shelter, meals, addiction recovery, counseling, and long-term support, they help restore hope and transform lives across New Jersey. Hillside partners with Market Street Mission by serving meals, volunteering, and supporting their life-changing ministry.

Their holistic approach helps women heal, grow, and build a new future through residential programs, outreach, education, and employment opportunities. Hillside is honored to support Bloom's mission of bringing hope and restoration to survivors.
Roxbury Social Services
Roxbury Social Services serves individuals and families in our community by providing food assistance, emergency resources, clothing, household essentials, and support during times of crisis. Their work ensures that neighbors facing hardship have access to practical help and compassionate care. Hillside partners with Roxbury Social Services through food drives, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing community support.
First Choice Women's Resource Centers
First Choice Women's Resource Centers offers free pregnancy services, parenting resources, material assistance, and compassionate support to women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. Their team provides accurate information and practical care while walking alongside each person with dignity and compassion.
